A History of Innovation

EMU solar array
Flipping the switch on our first solar project. When launched in 2011, the solar array at Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg was the largest solar project in Virginia.

Technology, Financing, Public Policy, Energy Education

In an innovative industry, Secure Solar Futures has always worked to offer our customers the best value in technology for solar panels, energy storage and energy management and monitoring software.

Below is a timeline of some of the key innovations in deploying solar power technology to new types of customers over the last decade in our home state of Virginia and beyond.

We also include innovations beyond technology — financing, public policy and energy education — that have helped make solar power more affordable and more useful to more customers.
