InterChange Group

A path to a greener delivery of logistics

In 2018, Secure Solar Futures installed 1.6 megawatts of solar power generating capacity on rooftops of four warehouse locations owned and operated by InterChange Group. The company was so happy with the performance of their solar power systems that in 2021, and again in 2022, they had us install another 2.6 megawatts on additional sites, bringing the total of solar power at InterChange to 4.2 megawatts. The company is a regional third-party logistics provider. Its facilities include cold storage warehouses for food and beverage makers with significant power usage.

Producing solar energy on site helps InterChange facilities reduce the amount of power they need to purchase from the local electric utility, especially at times when energy demand is highest, cutting the company’s power bills.

Please note: energy monitoring displays can take up to 60 seconds to load.

The Challenge

Cut the electric bill of power-hungry cold storage warehouses and help make America’s supply chain greener

The Result

A total of 4.2 megawatts of solar power installed on InterChange warehouses with the capacity to offset the equivalent of 618 homes in one year
