The Solar Workgroup of Southwest Virginia has partnered with Secure Futures, Mountain Empire Community College, and GOT Electric to provide commercial-scale solar installations in the coalfield region that are specifically designed to employ local workers.
Meet the Solar Workgroup
The initiative, “Securing Solar For Southwest Virginia,” will provide affordable solar solutions for businesses, nonprofits and local governments in the seven-county region, while building local workforce skills and opportunities for well-paying jobs in the growing solar energy sector.
Securing Solar is now accepting projects in the region. Follow these 3 easy steps to secure your own solar project in order to save money, produce clean energy, and develop the local workforce:
1. Check your Qualifications
Are you located in Southwest Virginia? The Securing Solar group are actively looking for schools, governments, and businesses in the following cities and counties:
