Secure Futures, LLC is breaking ground on solar projects in Virginia.

Phase one of a more than $3 million, 445-kilowatt solar installation at Washington and Lee University was completed Wednesday as 1,016 photovoltaic solar panels were installed atop the roof of the university’s law school building.
In all, the about 25,000 square feet of panels could produce enough electricity to power 44 homes, representing three percent of the school’s total energy usage.
In addition to the roof top panels, custom-designed hot-dipped galvanized structure for the W&L parking deck is under construction. SFLLC sourced the steel fabrication and installation locally.
The project is expected to be fully completed by Thanksgiving.
