Eliminate Solar and Wind Subsidies?

The fossil fuel industry has enjoyed subsidies for decades. Now some in Washington say to stop all subsidies in order to make a level playing field. That is ludicrous! Solar and wind costs are dropping but are certainly not within financial reach of many.
Within a few years the price of solar will fall to the point where we will no longer need subsidies. However, this is not currently the case. The U.S. needs green technology subsidies in order to truly level the financial “playing field”. Sustainable, green energy is needed in the U.S. and the world. Energy innovation is in its early stages. Time along with government subsidies are what is needed to allow for sustainable growth within solar and wind technologies which will create affordability.
