In 2018, Secure Solar Futures installed 1.6 megawatts of solar power generating capacity on rooftops of four warehouse locations owned and operated by InterChange Group. The company was so happy with the performance of their solar power systems that in 2021 and again in 2022, they had us install another 2.6 megawatts on additional sites, bringing the total of solar power at InterChange to 4.2 megawatts.
The company is a regional third-party logistics provider. Its facilities include cold storage warehouses with significant power usage.
Producing solar energy on site helps InterChange facilities reduce the amount of power they need to purchase from the local electric utility, especially at times when energy demand is highest, cutting the company’s power bills.
The total of 4.2 megawatts of solar power on all InterChange locations have the capacity to offset the amount of electric power that would be used in 618 homes in one year.
